ISHEP Foundation – Vision & Operational Summary

The ISHEP exists to promote racial harmony and strengthen community resilience through PRH – Education, STEAM – Training support, and Social welfare initiatives. Our vision is to nurture inclusive, empowered communities where opportunity and dignity are accessible to all—especially those most often overlooked.

To realise this, our operational goals focus on:

+    Educational Empowerment: Delivering PRH-based training and personal development to help individuals uncover their potential and contribute positively to society.

+    Bridging the Digital Divide: Providing refurbished devices and digital skills training to pupil premium families and adults returning to education.

+    Community Upliftment: Establishing a social enterprise café that creates jobs, offers training, and becomes a hub for cohesion and economic regeneration.

+    Strategic Collaboration: Partnering with local authorities, schools, and service providers to scale impact and ensure holistic support.

+    Sustainable Growth: Building transparent, accountable systems that foster trust, encourage investment, and enable long-term service delivery.

Though newly registered (Sept 2024), ISHEP builds on lived experience and professional insight, aiming to be a catalyst for change in London’s most underserved communities. We’d love to welcome you on this journey—because change happens when we come together!

Our mission is rooted in a deep commitment to enriching community well-being and nurturing a more inclusive society. At the heart of our work lies a dedication to Promoting Racial Harmony (PRH) across all racial groups, while empowering young people as they face life’s challenges.

We believe that through compassion, opportunity, and genuine connection, we can help build a brighter, more inclusive future for all.

Mission Statement

ISHEP's Mission is to empower and uplift everyday people by nurturing collaboration, providing integrated solutions, and mobilising community resources to address poverty, hardship, and social inequities. We will continue to strive and keep improving the platform that brings together the community, driving positive change and promote racial harmony.

Vision Statement

ISHEP's vision is a world where every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive. No one should go hungry, no one should face discrimination, and no one should be left behind. Our ultimate goal is to see a society grow where poverty and hardship are addressed and reduced, where racial discrimination is addressed with firm action, and every child can grow up safe, nurtured, and full of potential. Through integrated solutions and united action, we aim to transform the lives of everyday people, one community at a time.

Our Pledge

We are committed to going the extra mile and never giving up on our mission. Whether we receive multiples of £1 through our Pound for Purpose nationwide yearly event or £1,000,000 in combined donations, we pledge to do more for every young person we come into contact with, and look after our dedicated and unwavering team while they strive to implement positive change in the lives of those who need it most.

STEM Skill Training Support

STEM —Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths—forms the foundation of countless careers. While some STEM jobs like research scientist, doctor, engineer, and accountant are well-known, others such as software developer, pilot, and architect may be less obvious. At ISHEP, we are committed to helping our beneficiaries achieve a higher standard of living and elevate their quality of life, particularly those with low educational achievement. By promoting STEM skills at levels 3, 4, and 5, we equip them with transferable skills that can be applied across any career.

The UK is currently facing a skills shortage in STEM fields. If this trend continues, there will be insufficient professionals in critical areas such as engineering, medical research, and healthcare, impacting both our societal needs and the economy. However, this presents a significant opportunity for STEM graduates and apprentices, as there are abundant job prospects for those with STEM qualifications. Studying virtually any STEM subject develops essential skills like critical thinking, lateral thinking, and problem-solving. The sheer breadth of STEM roles ensures that there is something for everyone, aligning with individual passions and interests.

The relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, and interim financial hardship

At ISHEP, we are dedicated to providing relief for those in need, with a particular focus on individuals facing challenges due to youth, race, age, and interim financial hardship. We understand that life’s circumstances can sometimes present unexpected obstacles, and we are here to offer a helping hand during these difficult times.

Youth Support

Young people often face unique challenges as they transition into adulthood. Whether it’s pursuing education, entering the workforce, or navigating personal growth, the journey can be daunting.

ISHEP offers tailored support to empower young individuals, providing them with the resources and guidance needed to build a strong foundation for their future.

Our programs include educational assistance, mentorship, and skill-building workshops designed to help young people reach their full potential.

Age Support

As we age, new challenges can arise, from health issues to financial struggles. ISHEP is committed to supporting our elder community members, ensuring they can live with dignity and comfort.

Our services include assistance with daily living, and financial aid to help manage unexpected expenses. We also foster a sense of community through social activities and support groups, combating isolation and promoting overall well-being.

Interim Financial Hardship

Financial hardship can strike at any time, leaving individuals and families in a state of uncertainty.

ISHEP could provide immediate relief and long-term solutions to help those experiencing interim financial difficulties. Our support might include emergency financial assistance, budgeting and financial literacy workshops, and connections to employment opportunities.

By offering a comprehensive approach, we aim to help individuals regain their financial stability and build a more secure future.

At ISHEP, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. Through our dedicated programs and compassionate support, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

The Encouragement of the Army Cadet Force (ACF)

Our founder is committed to empowering young people, and ensuring their voices are heard and valued in decisions that affect them. He believes in the untapped potential of collaborative work to drive positive outcomes for young people, alongside allied professionals, including the Army Cadet Force (ACF).

Why promote Army Cadets?

The Army Cadet Force (ACF), sponsored by the UK Ministry of Defence and the British Army, offers a unique opportunity for young people to develop skills, build confidence, and gain a head start on their new future. As part of the Community Cadet Forces, the ACF provides exciting and challenging activities such as fieldcraft, adventure training, first aid, music, sport, and shooting.

Cadets are not subject to military ‘call up’, but many choose to enlist in the armed forces later in life. The ACF nurtures a strong community spirit and offers a supportive environment where young people can thrive. Community engagement is a key part of the Army Cadet syllabus, helping cadets understand how communities function and the positive impact they can make through volunteering.

Supporting the Army Cadet Force and Empowering Young People

At ISHEP, We believe that by providing essential facilities for Army Cadet Force (ACF) training, such as drill halls, we can significantly contribute to their ongoing preparedness and effectiveness.

Our facilities, when not in use, can be repurposed to support various ACF training activities. This ensures that our resources are utilised to their fullest potential and strengthens the bond between our organisation and the ACF. By offering these essential spaces, we provide additional resources, especially in local areas where no ACF detachment is present. This helps maintain the high standards of training and readiness that are vital for young people.

Empowering Young People via Army Cadet Force

Our commitment to the ACF goes beyond just providing facilities. We understand the importance of creating an environment where young people can develop essential skills, build confidence, and prepare for their future.

By supporting the ACF, we help young people:

– Engage in challenging and rewarding activities
– Develop leadership and teamwork skills
– Gain a sense of discipline and responsibility
– Contribute positively to their communities
– Strengthening Our Community Ties

A strong collaboration with the ACF not only benefits young people but also strengthens our community ties. By working together, we nurture a spirit of cooperation and mutual support that enhances the well-being of our communities.
