Our Purpose and Why

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE COMMUINTY SPOT

One of our key long-term goals is to establish UK-wide social enterprise community spots dedicated to supporting young people aged 16-25 who are transitioning from child to adult social care. Through innovative funding initiatives, these centres will provide a supportive environment where young people can access resources, guidance, and opportunities to ease their transition into adulthood and in some cases provide employment.

The venue will offer a variety of social activities, programs, and services tailored to meet the unique needs of the local community and visitors. ISHEP is committed to delivering educational programs, support vocational training, and social welfare initiatives.

Educational Programs and Racial Harmony Initiatives

Our educational programs support extracurricular activities with a particular focus on promoting racial harmony (PRH). The PRH program, created by EPHEP, consists of 24 interactive lessons that explore the concept of racism. These lessons encourage learners to form their own opinions and make informed decisions about the role of racism in today’s society. By engaging learners in thoughtful discussions and activities, we aim to nurture a more inclusive and tolerant community.

Vocational Training and Work Experience

Our vocational training centre plays a crucial role in supporting job-specific training programs for individuals aged 16-25. These programs include work experience opportunities where learners can join ISHEP and other organisations to gain practical experience in various fields. Our goal is to help young people acquire the skills needed for employment, enhancing their employability and career prospects.

Workshops and Seminars

PRH combines different methodologies, including training courses, seminars, workshops, conferences, webinars, and online eLearning programs. We aim to deliver workshops and seminars to the public and organisations, as CPD credits covering a wide spectrum of topics related to racial harmony, equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). Our initiatives are designed to empower young people with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in a diverse and inclusive society.

Who Requires PRH

There is an increasing expectation for professional bodies, institutes, employers, and associations to deliver equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) training. ISHEP’s PRH course places the responsibility on each individual as part of their career development. Various industry professional bodies, institutes, and trade associations will encourage, set targets, maintain standards, and help ensure the overall success of continuous professional development (CPD) within their respective remits.

Online Courses for Social Inclusion

With the growth in digital technology and remote working, online courses have become an increasingly popular method of learning. Our online courses offer convenience, affordability, and flexibility, allowing individuals to participate at their own pace and schedule around other commitments. By leveraging technology, we aim to reach individuals who may not have access to traditional educational settings, promoting greater social inclusion and equality.

Long-Term Commitments

In the long term, ISHEP is committed to providing free mobile data, shelters, affordable housing, and support services for the homeless. We recognize that our impact must extend beyond educational initiatives to address broader social welfare needs. By supporting these projects, we aim to create a more inclusive and supportive community for all its members. One day, one out of five individuals we support may become an ISHEP philanthropist.

Expanding Services for Senior Citizens

While our short-term focus is on supporting young people aged 16-25, we also have a long-term vision to expand our services to support senior citizens. As the population ages, it is essential to provide resources and support that meet the unique needs of older adults. Our future initiatives will include social programs designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life for senior citizens.
